Confirmation is one of the Initiation sacraments (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist).
Confirmation is the special outpouring of the Holy Spirit which brings an increase and deepening of baptismal grace.
Every baptized person who is not yet confirmed can and should receive the sacrament of Confirmation.
High School Confirmation
Preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation is a minimum of 2 years consecutive high school faith formation beginning in 9th Grade. In keeping with the Diocesan policy, the Sacrament of Confirmation is generally received when a student is in high school (10th, 11th or 12th Grade) but can be extended should the student not have an understating of the Faith or a desire to receive the Sacrament. Additional requirements for Confirmation can be found in the Confirmation Handbook.
